As of 2:00 p.m. on Monday, September 6th, 2021 there were 542 people in isolation.

Of these, 438 patients (81%) were unvaccinated and 97 (18%) were fully vaccinated.

Five of those fully vaccinated patients (1 in primary and 4 in secondary) were in need of care, and the other 92 were in tertiary isolation.

7 people, all in tertiary isolation, were partially vaccinated for COVID-19.

The primary and secondary isolation for COVID-19 patients in Barbados are units which accommodate those who are very ill and need close monitoring and treatment, with primary isolation being designated for the most severely ill.

Meanwhile, tertiary isolation houses patients who are only mildly ill, or not showing illness.

It is important to note that the number of people in isolation changes throughout the day as people are admitted and discharged.
