The 2022 local and international track and field season is just weeks away from starting and the Athletics Association of Barbados is already bracing for a hectic local program, with guidance from the COVID-19 Monitoring Unit.
Word of this from Public Relations Officer of the AAB, Esther Maynard, who confirmed that athletes are already hard at work training for the new season.
The Association was able to stage a number of local meets this year starting in May and concluding in July, and the hope is that the new year will see an increase in activity.
Maynard also detailed the regional and international meets for which national athletes will be vying to make the cut.
