The Barbados Fire Service is to get additional resources in the very near future.
This from Home Affairs Minister, Wilfred Abrahams during a ceremony to award service medals to the firefighters.
He, along with a contingent from the service, pinned the medals on a number of officers who have been recognized for their part in the fight during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Minister Abrahams says the Fire Service, like the other service organisations in Barbados performed outstandingly, and deserve to be honoured.
Meanwhile, Chief Fire Officer Errol Maynard encouraged the officers to keep giving of their best, despite members of the public questioning their productivity between calls.
