Given that volcanic hazards are ever present in the Caribbean, the Director of the UWI Seismic Research Centre, Dr Erouscilla Joseph, says there have been advancements in the region’ monitoring system.
She says its equipment helps to keep its network functioning, allowing the Centre to collaborate with its partners.
According to her, its work has helped to prepare stakeholders for volcanic hazards.
