Anglican Diocese of Barbados officially installs Reverend Mark Harewood

Just over a year after he was appointed as Rector of Christ Church Parish Church, the Anglican Diocese of Barbados held a “Service of Institution” officially installing Reverend Mark Harewood to the post.

Reverend Harewood, who has served in the ordained ministry of the Diocese for over 30 years, was the Rector of the St. Barnabas’ Church where he served for 18 years, until his appointment at the Christ Church Parish Church on September 1, 2021.

The service was presided over by the Anglican Bishop of Barbados, the Right Reverend Michael Maxwell, with a number of anglican clerics in attendance.

He encouraged the congregation to continue to support their Rector.

Reverend Harewood, the son of the late Canon Ivan Harewood, a former Rector of the church, expressed gratitude, noting he had come back home.
