The Alliance Owners of Public Transport is calling for Government to grant the PSV sector a concession or ease in the midst of rising fuel prices.
The group’s Communication, Information and Marketing Officer, Mark Haynes, made the call as he notes the recent increases in diesel and gasoline are another blow for the industry.
He explains some operators are already under stress and these hikes spell doom for some in the sector.
The call from AOPT for Government assistance comes as operators in the sector and Barbadians in general are paying more for petroleum products, except for kerosene.
