On average, around 35% of hotel workers are either fully vaccinated or have taken the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
This from Chief Executive Officer of the Barbados Hotel and Tourism Association, Senator Rudy Grant who says some individual properties have vaccination rates of up to 90%.
He says education is key.
On the issue of possibly using incentives to entice workers to get the jab, Chairman, Geoffrey Roach says the Association has not taken a position on the matter, although some individual members have gone that route.
