The All Tobago Fisherfolk Association (ATFA) wants the promised meeting with Barbadian fisheries officials to address the issue of alleged over fishing by Barbadian fishermen to be held at soon as possible.
Its President, Curtis Douglas warns enough is enough as he again expressed his displeasure at the situation and not getting a response from Trinidad and Tobago government officials.
During a press briefing Wednesday he was flanked by fisherfolk bearing placards.
He says Tobago fisherfolk are now under a yellow alert because the situation is impacting their livelihood.
ATFA also fears the illegal trading/activity occurring in Tobago’s waters, claiming that there are no coast guards stationed nearby to offer protection.
