Bajan boxers preparing for world championships

Excited and grateful for the opportunity to represent Barbados.

Those sentiments from two national boxers – Jabali Breedy and Charles Cox who were in Ireland for a two-week training camp ahead of the 2021 International Boxing Association World Boxing Championships.

The trip was made possible by the National Sports Council, the Barbados Olympic Association, and Barbados Boxing Association along with other stakeholders.

Cox and Breedy will compete at the Men’s Championships in Belgrade, Serbia which runs from today until November 6th.

Coach Garry Bowen says the level of competition will not be easy.

Both Breedy and Cox say they have been able to sharpen their skills ahead of the championship.
