A local medical professional is suggesting people who fail to get vaccinated are to blame for the re-emergence of diseases such as polio.
An outbreak of the infectious disease is currently being monitored in the UK, and there have been reports of cases in New York.
President of the Barbados Association of Medical Practitioners, Dr. Lynda Williams, says the more people vaccinated against these types of illnesses, the more individuals are protected from them.
