Barbadians seeking to take a Covid-19 test today should expect a long wait.
This as officials from the Ministry of Health continue to investigate a number of clusters and warn of the high transmissibility of the Delta variant of the virus.
Many Barbadians are currently at the Garfield Sobers Gymnasium as a range of organisations, including businesses, churches and nurseries have been identified as having people who are Covid-19 positive.
Minister of Health and Wellness, Lieutenant Colonel Jeffrey Bostic, noted yesterday that measures would be put in place to ensure officials do not become overwhelmed with the high number of people being tested.
