For several weeks now the price of oil has been rising on the world market and Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has caused it to spike to its highest level in over a decade.
That increase finally came home to Barbadians with Sunday night’s hike in petroleum products announced by Government.
Gasoline will be sold at $4.13 per litre, an increase of 14 cents, while diesel will be sold at $3.46 per litre, an increase of 17 cents. Kerosene will be $1.80 per litre – an increase of 22 cents.
Barbadians have been reacting to the news.
