Barbados and other Small Island Developing States still under threat

Barbados and other Small Island Developing States are still on the front line and are under threat even as progress is made in the fight against climate change.

Ambassador Elizabeth Thompson, who has Special Responsibility for Matters of Climate Change, SIDS Issues and the Law of the Sea, expressed her disappointment on the matter at the UNCTAD Youth Forum, likening it to taking one step forward and two steps backwards.

Ambassador Thompson says it’s important citizens are taught about environmental issues from young.
