Today is World Oceans Day and Barbados is joining the rest of the globe in marking the day under the theme ‘Revitalization: Collective Action for the Ocean’.
The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and its partners celebrated today with the launch of the Blue Digital Mobile App and by awarding fisherfolk for their hard work and commitment to the fishing industry.
During the event Minister of Environment and National Beautification Adrian Forde highlighted the opportunities and benefits humankind can derive from the ocean and our individual and collective duty to use it sustainably.
