The Barbados Council for the Disabled will be seeking to get even more businesses and establishments across the country certified through its Fully Accessible Barbados programme.
Just around 30 business are accredited and the Council’s President Kerryann Iifill says that number must increase.
Her comments came during a ceremony to declare the headquarters of the Barbados Association of Retired Persons as fully accessible.
Meanwhile BARP’s President Marilyn Rice-Bowen says the Association will soon join the Council.
She explains the certification is in line with its commitment to the disabled community.
