The University of the West Indies and the National Cultural Foundation will be conducting a special certificate course on the Barbados Landship for teachers.
The inaugural course, launched this morning, will equip members of the local teaching profession with knowledge about the cultural institution as well as help to keep the movement alive.
Chief Cultural Officer Andrea Wells says Nation Dance-Barbados Landship has been four years in the making.
Course Coordinator Dr. John Hunte, who is also a member of the Advisory Committee for the Landship, says they want to focus on the revival of the indigenous movement.
