Barbadians will have a special opportunity to stroll down memory lane today when the Barbados Defence Force (BDF) presents the Barbados National Armoury Tour and Rum Tasting in association with the National Cultural Foundation.
NCF Marketing Officer Ashley Dyall told CBC News from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., the historic St. Ann’s Fort will be transformed into a hive of activity.
Each patron will be allocated tokens to sample the rums available from Mount Gay Rum, Plantation Rum, St. Nicholas Abbey Rum, Foursquare Rum and Bajan 1966 Rum.
Specialty attractions include the Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc. Accelerator Programme, which will showcase locally made food products.
Also on hand will be a traditional coconut vendor with branded coconuts to celebrate the Independence season, as well as a snow cone cart loaded with rum mixes and Bajan syrups.
