Barbados has been nominated to serve on two special committees of the Association of Caribbean States (ACS).
Barbados was named as Chair of the Special Committee on Sustainable Tourism following the recent 9th summit of the ACS held in Guatemala.
The Minister of State in the Ministry of Foreign Trade Sandra Husbands had led Barbados’ delegation.
Barbados’ Ambassador to CARICOM, David Comissiong who is also the Ambassador to the ACS says the island and Guyana were successful in being selected as Vice Chair of the Special Committee on Disaster Reduction.
He shared insight during the Conversations on CARICOM segment of CBC TV8’s Mornin’ Barbados on the outcome of the ACS meeting.
