With forecasts for a return to pre-COVID tourism numbers, Barbados is buoyed by planned new airlift and prospects for the cruise sector this winter season.
Minister of Tourism and International Transport, Senator Lisa Cummins says Barbados is open for business and its hotels and villas are ready to welcome guests.
This message was conveyed as she presented the Destination Briefing at the Caribbean Tourism Organization and International Air Transport Association Conference in the Cayman Islands.
Senator Cummins is expecting a total of 390 vessel calls, totaling 739, 557 passengers by the end of the cruise season.
Officials believe the country can surpass that figure.
