The mistreatment of Barbados’ elderly population and seniors’ ability to adapt in this digital era remain major concerns for the Barbados Association of Retired Persons.
BARP President Marilyn Rice-Bowen has been highlighting those concerns on this World Elder Abuse Awareness Day.
She says elder abuse is quite prevalent in Barbados, though hidden and unreported and Ms. Rice-Bowen is calling for greater protection of seniors’ rights.
