Reaction continues tonight to the government’s decision to remove the overnight curfew and ease some restrictions.
The 12 am – 5 am curfew will be discontinued tomorrow February 14, when the current COVID-19 Directive expires.
Among those welcoming that and other changes are major tourism and transportation stakeholders.
The Barbados Hotel and Tourism Association, for example, is giving the government the thumbs up for lifting the curfew.
BHTA Chairman Renée Coppin says the members are delighted.
Ms Coppin also revealed members are hopeful the move will eventually lead to a revision of entry protocols to make them more current and fit for purpose, while allowing Barbados to be more competitive as a destination.
