Bullying among students at Grantley Adams declining

November 7, 2022

Since an anti-bullying programme started at Grantley Adams Memorial School that type of behaviour is declining among students.

Shawn Clarke of Supreme Counselling reported this positive change to Minister of State in the Office of the Attorney General with responsibility for Crime Prevention, Corey Lane during Monday’s relaunch of the anti-bullying campaign.

Supreme Counselling was at the school from 2019.

Principal Major Andrew Skeete says the programme is vital because alongside academics and vocational skills, students need other soft skills.

Mr. Lane was on hand to give a pep talk to the students and unveil official signage declaring the school a bully-free zone.

The school board Chair George Griffith was also there to see the newly installed sign, which appears as soon as you walk through the gates of the school premises.
