Call for a Tom Adams landmark

March 12, 2023

The life, times and contributions of two fallen Barbadian leaders were remembered at a wreath-laying ceremony in the Cathedral Church of St. Michael and All Angels on Saturday.

Wreaths were laid on the grave of Sir Grantley Adams who served as Premier of Barbados from 1946 – 1958 and was Prime Minister of the now-defunct West Indies Federation, from 1958 – 1962.

And as it is the 38th anniversary since the passing of Barbados second Prime Minister, M. G. M. Tom Adams, St. Thomas Member of Parliament Cynthia Forde led a small group of members from the branch in the wreath-laying ceremony.

Bishop James Eugene of the Zion Pentecost Church at Dunscombe, St. Thomas, called for a landmark in St. Thomas to commemorate the memory of the late Prime Minister.
