Call for Government to focus on mental health

There’s a suggestion that Government deal with mental health issues in the community in the same way it did with COVID-19.

Nursing Officer at the Psychiatric Hospital, Ryan Lewis describes the ongoing pandemic as the straw that broke the camel’s back for many mentally. He says given the stigma attached to mental health, they are afraid to seek help.

Principal Consultant of 246 King Consulting and mental health advocate, Jolene King thinks the initiative would be beneficial, but efforts to help people with such issues need to go far beyond that.
