Central Bank Governor predicts double-digit growth in 2022

Governor of the Central Bank of Barbados Cleviston Haynes, is predicting double-digit growth for Barbados’ economy for the year 2022.

However, he says this will depend on the country’s resilience to external shocks resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic.

During the Bank’s review of 2021 and 2022 forecast, Governor Haynes said he was cautious with his projections as it is difficult to predict growth in an uncertain environment.
