There will be no face-to-face classes today, as the island continues to be under flash-flood and severe-thunderstorm warnings. Students should therefore prepare for online classes once this is possible.
Word of this from Chief Education Officer, Joy Adamson.
She however noted that persons sitting the regional Caribbean Examinations Council should make their way to the nearest examination centre:
“Persons writing the Caribbean Examinations Council exam: a regional exam which we have no control of in terms of rescheduling, must try to make their way to the exam centre.
“If you cannot make your way to your school, you can go to the nearest exam centre, the supervisor at the centre will try to assist, and we will put all things in place to allow the student to write the examination from that centre.”
She also urged Barbadians to be safe.
