A local organisation is hoping it can partner with government on more programmes to create jobs for young people and ultimately help stem the crime wave.
It is the Barbados Contractors and Artisans Co-operative Society.
Secretary of the Supervisory and Oversight Committee Glenroy Babb says the group already has a programme with the Ministry of Labour, which has been bearing fruit.
He made the comments at a recent press conference.
