Meteorological officials are concerned that the smoke from brush fires could impact the visibility of pilots approaching the airport.
Recently, there have been several fires in Barbados, with some of them in the Christ Church area.
The Morning Report spoke to the Civil Aviation Authority about the fires and the possible dangers they may cause.
Unit Chief of Air Traffic Services, John Parris, says it depends on wind direction.
Input was also sought from a pilot of 20 years experience.
Neil Cave says smoke does not impact them as much, but it is a possibility.
