COVID-19 claims 8 more lives

COVID-19 has claimed the lives of 8 more Barbadians.

The deaths occurred on Sunday, October 24th, and bring the country’s toll to 139.

Four women were among the deceased.

A 54 year old died at the Harrison’s Point Isolation Facility. She was vaccinated.

In addition, a 59 year old and a 61 year old, who were both primary care patients at Harrison’s Point passed away. A 64 year old also died at the Accident and Emergency Department. These three women were unvaccinated.

Four males, including a 62 year old and a 65 year old, passed away at Harrison Point in primary isolation. They were unvaccinated.

Meanwhile, a 71 year old man who was vaccinated, died at the Accident and Emergency Department. The other death recorded was that of a 93 year old unvaccinated man who passed away in tertiary isolation at Queens College.

Minister of Health and Wellness, Lieutenant Colonel Jeffrey Bostic, has extended condolences to the bereaved.
