COVID-19 has claimed yet another life in Barbados.
Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Kenneth George says a 52 year old man passed away early this morning at the Isolation Facility in St. Lucy.
This brings to 70 the total number of COVID-19 deaths on island.
Given that all of the people who lost their lives to the viral illness were unvaccinated, Dr. George is encouraging people to get vaccinated to help beat the pandemic.
Dr. George made the comments during a media conference earlier today. He says there has been a steady increase in new cases.
