The Ministry of Health says it is still trying to source COVID-19 vaccines for children and once successful, the plan is to take the programme into the schools.
This from Chief Medical Officer, Dr. The Most Honourable, Kenneth George, during yesterday’s COVID-19 press conference.
He says children who are 12 years and over will be offered the inoculation but their parents have to consent to them receiving it.
Outside of COVID-19, Dr. George is concerned that there’s been a fall off in the number of children getting vaccinated against the traditional diseases.
