The upcoming change in the COVID-19 travel protocols will bring less business to the Crane Hotel’s testing lab.
That admission from owner of the resort, Paul Doyle.
He says with fully vaccinated, inbound travellers to Barbados not having to take a local PCR test come Sunday, the level of testing and income at the hotel’s testing facility will decrease.
Mr. Doyle says that the facility will remain operational for locals and individuals who need a negative PCR test to travel to abroad.
Mr. Doyle also says the new measures came as a shock to him because he believes the COVID PCR test travellers take on arrival to the island is better able to detect the viral illness as opposed to the PCR test taken abroad, three days prior to travel.
