Barbados today reaped the benefits from the arrival of five cruise ships bringing about 8,000 passengers to the island.
Considered the height of the cruise season, this is one of the most lucrative periods for industry players.
Chairman of the Barbados Tourism Marketing Incorporated, Shelly Williams, spoke to CBC News about what the arrival of such cruise passenger numbers means for the island.
