There’s an effort to allay the fears of local manufacturers who are concerned about the impact of next month’s introduction of a 20% tax on sugar sweetened beverages.
The Barbados Manufacturers’ Association says the taxes could be detrimental to jobs, but the Barbados Childhood Obesity Prevention Coalition says the evidence doesn’t support this.
