Barbados has sought help from its regional neighbours as it tries to mitigate the impact of rising animal feed costs.
Minister of State, Foreign Trade and Business, Sandra Husbands, says the rising costs caused great concern because it made the production of nutritional, quality meats more expensive.
According to Ms Husbands, the Barbados Government reached out to Guyana, Belize, Suriname and Trinidad and Tobago about producing the necessary inputs for animal feed.
She was speaking during the Estimates of Revenue and Expenditure.
