A Government Hill, St. Michael family lost their home and car in a fire on Tuesday, while another house was damaged by the blaze.
Police are investigating the house fire, which occurred around 9:30 pm on Tuesday 27 September 2022 at Rogers Road, Government Hill, St. Michael.
The two-bedroom, one-bathroom timber house which was extensively damaged, is owned by Ms. Petra Ann Peters, 48 years, along with her husband Adrian Hinds and their two children. Also destroyed was a Suzuki Swift motor car, owned by Adrian Hinds. A second house occupied by Ms. Elizabeth Callender, 58 years, of the same address, received heat and water damage.
Three fire tenders and twelve fire officers under the command of Station Officers McCallister and Bourne from the Barbados Fire Service responded and extinguished the fire. There were no injuries.
Investigations are continuing into this incident.
