A rubbish fire at a bushy, vacant lot in Gall Hill, St. John was out of control this morning, threatening nearby residences.
Officials from the Barbados Fire Service were on the scene after 5 a.m. and brought the blaze under control. No properties were damaged.
Fire officials however expressed some concern about the challenges they faced manoeuvring to the fire, as several vehicles made it difficult for them. We will have more from Fire Service officials in subsequent posts.
