A plea tonight for a system to help victims in the wake of disasters like fires.
It’s coming from MP for St. Michael Central Arthur Holder.
He was speaking after fire officials were called into action for the second time in less than 24 hours – this time to battle a blaze at Savannah Road, Bush Hall, St. Michael.
Mr. Holder has also expressed concern about a lack of insurance coverage, particularly for chattel houses.
A timber structure was gutted by the blaze.
66 year old Anthony Gall lived at the property but explained he was relocated temporarily while awaiting assistance to get the building repaired, after it was damaged by a storm a year ago.
