Having dealt with the island’s debt situation and other issues, Minister in the Ministry of Finance and Economic Affairs, Ryan Straughn says Barbados must now focus on growing the economy.
He has called on Barbadians to stay the course as there are new missions the Government must undertake.
Minister Straughn was at the time contributing to a Resolution on the Barbados Fiscal Framework 2023-2024 to 2025-2026.
He revealed money has already been budgeted for the new proposed Geriatric Hospital and defended Government’s record in caring for the elderly.
Mr. Straughn suggests Barbados would have been in a different place than it is currently had it not made the choices to improve the economy.
He says Barbadians understand the choices made as he dissected the numerous measures taken to provide relief.
