Even though Barbados has met the United Nations Small Island Developing States milestone of reducing road fatalities by 25%, Government will continue doing its utmost to ensure road safety is a priority.
That’s the word from Acting Prime Minister and Transport Minister Santia Bradshaw as she delivered the feature address at the 10th International Road Federation Caribbean Regional Congress at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre.
129 people have died on the island’s roads since 2014.
Ms. Bradshaw says Government has plans to encourage behaviour change and full compliance with the laws.
