Government is redoubling its efforts to battle Chronic Non Communicable Diseases in Barbados, but it wants citizens to play their part in the fight.
Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley gave the assurance this morning after touring the Maria Holder Diabetes Centre for the Caribbean.
The Prime Minister, who is also the Finance Minister, says Government has been spending more money on NCDs over time.
Mindful of this she says champions, including familiar faces such as COVID-19 Public Advisor David Ellis, will be brought on board to help encourage a change in public behaviour.
