The Executive Director of the Green Climate Fund Yannick Glemarec, is in Barbados to see how the country can be assisted with its climate adaptation and water resilience projects.
His visit ahead of the 2021 United Nations Climate Change Conference, also known as COP26, saw him tour a number of sites concerning the Barbados Water Authority, the Drainage Unit and Coastal Conservation.
Wendy Burke tells us the tour, led by Minister in the Ministry of Economic Affairs Marsha Caddle, was to let him see the areas where the island needs the funding most.
