The House of Assembly has moved to amend the Gold Award Achievement Bill to allow for groups to be conferred the honour.
Attorney General Dale Marshall says COVID-19 has made it clear that teamwork is what it will take to get us out of our challenges.
The amendment also extended the scope of the Bill to allow for the Award to be conferred on Independence Day, as well as National Heroes Day.
It also states that where a group of people is collectively given a Gold Award of Achievement, each member of the group will have the post nominal letters ‘G.A.’ affixed to his or her name.
