There are more positive projections for the Barbados economy with the business sector upbeat about economic activity expected this Christmas.
President of the Barbados Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI), Anthony Branker says the outlook is bright, as the unemployment rate continues to decline.
Speaking to CBC News, Mr. Branker indicates the business community is in preparation mode to meet consumer demand during the yuletide season.
While some are concerned about possible price increases, he notes local businesses are trying to hold strain in the face of fluctuating shipping costs.
