Innovation Hub underway

Work has started on what is to be Barbados’ first Innovation Hub.

Minister of Industry, Innovation, Science and Technology, Davidson Ishmael, has confirmed a large plot of land in Newton, Christ Church will be home to the first such facility.

Already, the land has been cleared to prepare for the structure.

He provided more details on the structure during a Barbados Labour Party St. George South branch meeting.

Mr Ishmael revealed some of the intended uses of the Newton Innovation Hub, including the digitisation of the country’s records from the Transatlantic Slave Trade.
