That’s what’s in store this year for Barbados’ young calypsonians and rising soca stars in the Scotiabank Junior Monarch Competition.
Communications Specialist at the National Cultural Foundation, Toni Yarde gave the details as she announced the semifinalists for the Junior Monarch Calypso Competition, to be held on Sunday, July 2 at the Queen’s Park Steel Shed.
Ms. Yarde also announced the the names who made it into the semis of the Soca Competition.
The date for the Scotiabank Junior Monarch Finals is Saturday, July 15, but before all of that action you will have the opportunity to see the young talent in the Junior tents on June 18 and 25.
