Four young women between the ages of 16 and 22, have been given some insight into the roles and requirements of being a High Commissioner.
It stemmed from a partnership between the High Commissions of the United Kingdom and Canada in Barbados with the LeadHERship Institute to mark International Women’s Day 2023.
Two of them, Shashamane Jones and Kori Powell were attached to Canada’s High Commission while Ashley Alkins and Jelesha Sobers were assigned to the British High Commission.
During a joint reception attended by President Dame Sandra Mason and other dignitaries, the young leadHERs spoke about their experiences.
