Legislation coming to improve lives of Barbadians with disabilities

A legislative breakthrough is coming that will improve the lives of thousands of Barbadians.

Minister of People Empowerment and Elder Affairs Kirk Humphrey says the Rights of Persons with Disabilities legislation will bring about social transformation as the process, with people empowerment as the outcome.

He was speaking at a stakeholder meeting of the Law Reform Commission and the National Advisory Committee for Improving the Lives of Persons with Disabilities at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre.

Minister Humphrey has been having numerous consultations to hear the concerns of the people.
