Barbados Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley believes former South African President Nelson Mandela’s philosophy and life offers important lessons in today’s fight for climate justice.
While delivering the 20th Nelson Mandela Annual Lecture at the Durban International Convention Centre in South Africa on Saturday – the first physical one since the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic in South Africa – she said the fight is the greatest one for humanity and any generation.
She addressed the theme, Social Bonding and Decolonisation in the Context of the Climate Crisis: Perspectives from the Global South.
