At least one NGO in Barbados has been lending a helping hand to Ukrainians amidst the ongoing war with Russia.
It is the Barbados-based Indigenous Democracy Defence Organisation.
Its Co-founder, Damon Corrie tells CBC News they are actively seeking to get 40 people, including children, to safety in Poland.
Mr. Corrie is calling on Barbadians who have property in European Union member states or know someone who does and are willing to house Ukrainian refugees, to contact him at eagleclanarawaks@gmail.com.
